Real name: Xavier (last name later) Persona Name: "X" Age: 19 Location: St. Louis, Mo Fighting Experience: Former Belegarth Fighter, Jiu-Jitsu Availability:Most Weekends Email/AIM/MSN/Yahoo Accounts: soldierxja@gmail.com Why you want to be part of the Company: Foam Fighting has always been appealing to me. I used to be a member of a Belegarth group called "Realm of Arnor", however I found the group less than appealing. I want to join a semi-militaristic group of fighters; the PT standards alone draw me here, and furthermore as a hardcore Civil War reenactor I especially like that there is a real minimum garb requirement that isn't just a t-shirt and sweat pants. I want to look like i belong to something serious, not a gym rat with a pool noodle on a stick.

How long have you been fighting? When did you do your re-enactments?

To Draggeron: I am not currently fighting, unless you are mentioning my jiu-jitsu experience, which I have been doing for a year and a half. To Ashe: I was with the Belegarth group for about 2 years from when I was 16. I have been reenacting since I could walk, and still do.
For right now, I would like to know I bit more about the group. How many active members? I don't recall seeing any real theme for the group (ie templars, LOTR, Forest Rangers, etc.)other than it is a brotherhood of sorts? Perhaps I could visit a practice and see what you guys are all about? I got rid of my weapons after i left Belegarth, so I would need to loan until i decide if this is the group for me.

I have personally counted 21 official and active members (brothers, soldiers, and petitioners).
There is actually a book series that is related to the group (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Black_Company).
So how did you hear about us then?

I was on the main Dagorhir site and looked up the chapters closest to me. The Black Company sounded best, so here I am.

AS I said, I got rid of my gear when I left belegarth, and I want to see if I am going to enjoy doing Dagorhir before I go and drop $100+ on weapons.

I understand that Belegarth and Dag are similar games. The problem with my Belegarth unit was that I loved the game, but not the people I had to deal with every week because I wanted to play, the leadership liked to bend rules and stack the games. Most of the leadership (knights) tended to stack non-knights up in the corner and whale on us for 3 hours in one-sided line battles. I want a group that will run some scenarios and actually train with their weapons once in awhile. I am asking to come out to a few practices and meet some members and kick the tires before I go all in putting a kit together again. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to sound like a whiny little b#tch, but I've just had some rough experiences with the people who play these games.

Hey man, this is Olos, one of our guys in the local area. I'll be at an event this weekend, and probably won't make it to practice. Hopefully can meet up in the next couple weeks. I'm Jason Olos Day on facebook if you want to chat or whatever. Hopefully meet you soon!
